The OurLegacy Center
The OurLegacy Center is a dedicated donor-care facility on the AdventHealth Orlando campus designed to offer patients and families comfort, privacy, and support during the organ donation process. When appropriate, donor heroes may be transferred here after coordination with hospital partners, giving families a peaceful space away from the ICU and a setting created specifically for compassionate care. A multidisciplinary team—including critical care staff, surgical teams, chaplains, and family service coordinators—provides focused support and thoughtful donor management.
The center:
Provides families with private, dedicated space for reflection, comfort, and time with their loved one.
Supports the recovery of as many gifts as possible through specialized donor management.
Eases pressure on partner hospitals by helping them focus resources on other patients who need critical care.
Improves coordination for transplant teams through clearer timing and streamlined communication.
“It means more comfort in saying goodbye to their loved one, to have a place that they know is specifically caring for them.”
