EVENT RECAP

Remembrance Day 2025

Each November, OurLegacy brings donor families together for Remembrance Day, an opportunity to share memories of loved ones and reflect on the lives touched by their gifts. When donor families meet, conversations can grow into meaningful connections rooted in their shared experience of loss and donation. Many choose to bring personal remembrances to display, creating a collective space filled with stories, photos, and symbols of love. Invitations are extended to families whose donations occurred six to sixteen months prior, offering a moment in time to gather, remember, and feel supported within a community that understands.

GR8 to DON8

Each spring, OurLegacy hosts GR8 to DON8, a community walk/run dedicated to celebrating donor heroes, supporting transplant recipients, and raising awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation. The 2025 event brought together nearly 900 runners, walkers, donor families, recipients, and hospital partners, creating a powerful day of connection and hope. Together, the community raised over $130,000 to support donation education and family-care programs.

Whether completing the 8K, walking the 5K, or cheering from the sidelines, participants honored the lives changed — and saved — through donation. GR8 to DON8 remains one of OurLegacy’s most meaningful traditions, bringing our community together to honor life and create lasting legacy.
